Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an American author of cookery books as well as Emmy Award-winning host of Food Network's longest-running program Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons to 2020. Ina began working in the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy and also the budget. She initially adored the intellectual stimulation of her job, but quickly lost the interest. Instead, she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. After more than 18 years of making her store a huge success, she sold it, and then began creating her first novel. Many magazines and cookbooks were later published. Meanwhile, her Food Network television show too was launched and quickly became an instant hit. In addition, she sells all kinds of cooking equipment, tools and storage containers. Ina was never to any cooking school and has not worked in restaurants. Ina is completely self-taught. Her name is known for her unpretentious approach to entertainment and simple food preparation. Her most popular recipes include Skillet-Roasted lemon chicken, Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon and the Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
